KENTS HILL, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington women's alpine team got their weekend off to a strong start, securing a victory in Saturday's Reynolds Division slalom event hosted at Kents Hill. The Beavers were led by sophomore Elanore Robb (Woodbury, Minn.) and junior Hokulani Caroselli (Temple, Maine), who claimed the top two spots on the podium.

Robb earned the gold medal, narrowly edging out Caroselli for the win. Robb completed her two runs with a total time of 1:02.20, just 0.27 seconds faster than Caroselli. Robb was the fastest skier on the hill in both runs, finishing her first run in 31.18 seconds and her second in 31.02 seconds.
Caroselli, who has been exceptionally consistent all season, took the silver. She finished with a cumulative time of 1:02.47, trailing Robb in both runs. Caroselli posted a first-run time of 31.42 seconds and a second-run time of 31.05 seconds.
First-year Rosie St. Cyr (Pownal, Maine) was the third Beaver to contribute to the team's score. St. Cyr placed fourth overall, just missing the podium with a cumulative time of 1:05.59. Her run times were 33.05 seconds and 32.54 seconds, respectively.
Robb, Caroselli, and St. Cyr combined for a total time of 3:10.26, finishing over six seconds ahead of St. Joseph's College of Maine, who placed second.
Seniors Grace Mahmood (Oxford, Conn.) and Fallon Smith (Nelson, N.H.) also finished in the top ten. Mahmood took eighth place with a time of 1:08.66, after posting run times of 34.48 seconds and 34.18 seconds. Smith placed tenth overall with a time of 1:09.57, finishing her runs in 35.36 seconds and 34.21 seconds.
