CASTLETON, Vermont  – Farmington absorbed one of its heaviest attacking tests of the season on Sunday, falling 4–0 to Castleton in a match where the Beavers spent long stretches defending deep but still carved out phases of poise and pushback.

The Records:

With the loss, Farmington dropped to 5-8-3 overall (4-3-2 NAC) while Castleton moves to 6-10-1

How It Happened:
Vermont controlled the match from start to finish, out-shooting Farmington 25–9 and converting four of those into goals.
The Spartans generated 10 first half shots and added 15 more after the break, forcing the Beavers' keeper
Dylan Gagnon (Hudson, N.H.) into four saves and sustaining pressure with eight corner kicks. Castleton's attack repeatedly broke lines and pinned UMF deep, while the Beavers managed just three shots on target across the full 90 minutes.
Farmington won five corners and produced a more composed stretch early in the second half, but Castleton's defense denied clean looks and quickly turned moments into transition chances the other way. Three second-half goals sealed the outcome as the Beavers were forced to attempt to battle back.
JJ Greenlaw (Farmington, Maine) and
Rafael Harron (Bellmont, California) both finished with two shots.
Fouls finished level at seven apiece, but Castleton controlled tempo in open play, saves and finishing quality. The Beavers fell to 0–4 in this fixture behind a performance where defensive resistance was overrun by sustained volume.
