HENNIKER, New Hampshire – The University of Maine at Farmington men's alpine team has been an unstoppable force during the 2025 season, placing first in every event so far. Saturday was no different, as they swept the podium on their way to another first-place finish.
Top Beaver Skiers:
Jacob Roy (Frenchville, Maine) earned his first gold medal of the season, taking first place by over a second across his two runs. Roy posted the fastest two runs of any skier, with times of 37.90 seconds and 38.27 seconds, for a total time of 1:16.27.
Lake Lindelof (Belfast, Maine) took the silver medal, finishing with a total time of 1:17.36 across his two runs. Lindelof topped his teammate Sam Roy (Frenchville, Maine), who placed third, by just five hundredths of a second. Lindelof's runs were clocked at 38.28 seconds and 39.08 seconds. Roy finished with a time of 1:17.41, with run times of 38.18 seconds and 39.23 seconds, respectively.
The trio of the Roy brothers and Lindelof combined for a total time of 3:51.04, topping Saint Joseph's College of Maine by over four seconds.
Lance Dolan (Coplin Plantation, Maine), Declan Varnerin (Stow, Mass.), Chase Raven (Hudson, Wisc.), and Sam McKee (Wayne, Maine) also placed in the top ten. However, with only three skiers contributing to the team's score, Dolan, Varnerin, Raven, and McKee did not factor into the team score.
Dolan finished with a total time of 1:18.66, with run times of 39.66 seconds and 39.00 seconds, placing sixth.
Varnerin finished in eighth place with a total time of 1:19.28, with run times of 39.00 seconds and 40.28 seconds, respectively.
Raven completed his two runs in times of 39.61 seconds and 39.72 seconds, for a total time of 1:19.33 and a ninth-place finish.
McKee finished just behind Raven in tenth place with a total time of 1:19.52. McKee's first run was clocked at 39.54 seconds, and his second run was 39.98 seconds.
