KENTS HILL, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington men's alpine team continued their dominant start to the 2025 season, placing eight skiers in the top ten and two on the podium to secure their fifth victory in as many tries. Sam Roy (Frenchville, Maine), Colgan O'Keefe (Westchester, N.Y.), and Sam McKee (Wayne, Maine) combined for a total time of 2:48.84, finishing over six seconds ahead of Saint Joseph's College of Maine to win Saturday's Reynolds Division slalom event at Kents Hill.
Top Beaver Skiers:
Roy earned the gold medal, edging out Jack Price of St. Joe's by 0.16 seconds across his two runs. Roy finished with a total time of 55.33 seconds, with nearly identical runs of 27.76 seconds and 27.57 seconds, respectively.
O'Keefe claimed the bronze with a total time of 56.60 seconds. His first run was clocked at 28.58 seconds, followed by a 27.92-second second run.
McKee was the third Beaver to contribute to the team's score, finishing fifth overall with a combined time of 57.01 seconds. He recorded run times of 28.81 seconds and 28.20 seconds.
Lance Dolan (Coplin Plantation, Maine), Chase Raven (Hudson, Wisc.), Lake Lindelof (Belfast, Maine), Nick Quast (Ossining, N.Y.), and Declan Varnerin (Stow, Mass.) rounded out the top ten.
- Dolan finished sixth with a time of 57.36 seconds, posting run times of 28.77 and 28.59 seconds.
- Raven finished seventh with a time of 57.66 seconds, recording runs of 29.19 seconds and 28.82 seconds.
- Lindelof placed eighth with a total time of 57.67 seconds, after runs of 28.85 and 28.82 seconds.
- Quast earned ninth place with a total time of 58.63 seconds, with run times of 29.48 seconds and 29.15 seconds.
- Varnerin finished tenth with a time of 58.73 seconds, having run times of 30.05 seconds and 28.68 seconds.
