WATERVILLE, Maine — University of Maine at Farmington women's basketball junior standout Jessica Dow (Saco, Maine) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Beavers open their season with a pair of victories at the Spartan Classic.
Dow played just ten minutes in Farmington's 111–20 victory over Fisher College on Saturday evening but still finished with three steals and seven points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting performance.
The next day, Dow stuffed the stat sheet and wreaked havoc on the defensive end of the floor. The guard/forward recorded five steals and two blocks while also posting her first double-double of the season with ten points and ten rebounds.
For the week, Dow averaged four steals and one block in just 21 minutes per game.
This marks the fourth time in her career that Dow has earned NAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. She received the award three times during the 2024–25 season.
