BANGOR, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington junior Lina Martinez Nocito (Mt. Vernon, Maine) dominated the field on Saturday, finishing 52 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor to win the individual North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship. Her first-place finish helped lead the Beavers to their first NAC Championship team title since 2018.
Farmington placed five runners inside the top ten en route to capturing the conference crown.
Beaver Runners:
As she has done throughout the 2025 season, Martinez Nocito was outstanding, completing the 6K course at Saxl Park in 23:38.9 to secure first place and the title of NAC Individual Champion. She averaged 6:17.8 per mile over the race.
Senior Eve Poteet (Fair Hill, Md.) also turned in a strong performance, earning a fourth-place finish with a time of 25:14.7, averaging 6:46.2 per mile.
First-years Kaylee Johnston (Bangor, Maine) and Dellaney Flower (Farmington, Conn.) finished just 3.4 seconds apart in sixth and seventh place, respectively. Johnston clocked in at 26:27.8, while Flower followed close behind in 26:31.2.
Abbie Dumont (Windham, Maine) rounded out Farmington's scoring runners, placing tenth overall with a time of 27:34.3 and an average mile pace of 7:23.7.
