BANGOR, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington men's cross country team completed a three-year run of dominance on Saturday, capturing their third consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship.
Individually, Maine Maritime Academy's William Spaulding took the top spot, finishing in 27:42.8. The 2025 NAC Championship was hosted by Husson University at Saxl Park.
Beaver Runners:
The Beavers' five scoring runners all placed inside the top 11, totaling 35 points with a combined team time of 2:24:55.
As he has been all season, junior Andrew LaFlamme (Nashua, N.H.) led the way for Farmington, finishing second overall with a time of 28:14.5 across the 8K course, averaging 5:40.9 per mile.
Senior James Riley (Shrewsbury, Mass.) followed close behind, placing fourth overall with a time of 28:33.0 and an average pace of 5:44.6 per mile.
Junior Ethan Linscott (Lakeville, Maine) ran his strongest race of the season, finishing eighth overall in 29:12.9 as the third Beaver to cross the line.
Sophomore Samuel Perkins (Jay, Maine) and Alexander Gagnon (Goffstown, N.H.) rounded out Farmington's top five, finishing 10th and 11th, respectively. The two were separated by just 5.4 seconds, with Perkins clocking in at 29:24.8 and Gagnon at 29:54.6.
First-year Hans Bakke (York, Maine) had an impressive showing as well, placing 13th overall in 30:06.8.
Junior Joseph Burgess (New Gloucester, Maine) also turned in a solid performance, finishing 25th overall with a time of 33:14.5.
