JOHNSON, Vermont – The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team tied 0-0 to Vermont State University Johnson on Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play at Minaert Field. The Beavers battled hard throughout the match but were unable to find the back of the net against the strong Johnson Badgers team.

With the tie, Farmington sits at 8-6-2 overall and 4-3-2 in NAC play, while Johnson moves to 8-3-4 (4-1-3 NAC).
How It Happened:
Today's conference matchup turned into a tightly-played soccer match that ended without a breakthrough on the scoresheet, as the Beavers and Badgers battled to a 0–0 draw despite handfuls of chances on both ends.
The Beavers controlled much of the shot volume across both halves, finishing with an 11–9 advantage, and placed eight of those attempts on target. Four of the eleven shots came from freshman
Kyri Meak (Winslow, Maine)
Badger goalkeeper Isabel Atkisson posted a standout performance with eight saves — five in the first half alone. While
Paige Gonya (Sabattus, Maine) ended the game with four saves. The Badgers manufactured four shots on frame but could not solve the Beaver back line, which did not require a save in the second half after four first-half stops.
Despite the draw on the scoreboard, the match showcased two disciplined defensive units. The Beavers' experienced a higher shot volume with
Hannah Wilbur (Farmington, Maine) and
Rita Benoit (Hallowell, Maine) each having two shots apiece but unfortunately couldn't find the back of the net.
