Tracy Tallies a Hat-Trick to Lead Beavers to Blow Out Victory Over Fisher

FARMINGTON, Maine - Junior forward Natalie Tracy (Oakland, Maine) made a huge impact off the bench, scoring three goals on Tuesday afternoon to propel the Beavers to a commanding 6-0 victory over Fisher College.

The Records:

With this win, the Beavers improved their overall record to 5-5-2, while the Falcons fell to 1-7-1.

How It Happened:

From the opening whistle, the Beavers dominated the game. In the 14th minute, Abby Lash (Waldoboro, Maine), the team leader in assists, sent a cross into the penalty area that found first-year midfielder Makenzie Rushlow (Corinth, Maine). First-year midfielder Makenzie Rushlow (Corinth, Maine) beautifully maneuvered around a defender and, as Fisher goalkeeper Olivia Leo rushed toward her, Rushlow calmly slotted a low shot into the back of the net, marking her second goal of the season.

Just five and a half minutes later, Farmington doubled its lead. Senior forward Grace Mahmood (Oxford, Conn.) scored after a well-placed assist from Emma Dunn (Farmington, Maine), increasing the Beavers' advantage to 2-0.

The Beavers' offensive onslaught continued in the 22nd minute, when Tracy found the bottom right corner of the net with a left-footed shot of a feed from Rita Benoit (Hallowell, Maine)

Less than two minutes after Tracy's goal, Mahmood struck again, benefiting from exceptional ball movement. Lash initiated the play, driving the ball toward the center setting up Tracy who ran an overlapping run to the left corner. Lash sent a through ball to Tracy, who delivered a one-time pass across the goal mouth to the wide-open Mahmood, who confidently guided a shot into the back of the net for her second goal in just ten minutes, bringing the score to 4-0.

The scoring spree continued midway through the second half. After earning a free kick just outside the right corner of the penalty area, senior defender Grace Dwyer (Manchester, Maine) floated a cross into the box that Tracy leaped and redirected with her head for her second goal of the game.

Tracy completed her hat trick just four minutes later, scoring an unassisted goal to extend the Beavers' lead to 6-0, who pick up their second consecutive win.

Defensively, the Beavers made it tough for the Falcons, who struggled to generate any meaningful scoring threats throughout the match.

Team Stats:

The Beavers maintained a significant advantage in shots (18-4) and shots on goal (10-4). Additionally, they dominated corner kicks with a 3-0 lead.

The Goalkeepers:

Junior goalkeeper Paige Gonya (Sabattus, Maine) recorded four saves, earning her third shutout of the season and the ninth of her career. On the other side, Leo also made four saves for the Falcons.
